The 9th General Assembly of the Mediterranean Network of Basin Organisations (MENBO) and the EURO-INBO Conference on the Implementation of the Water Framework Directive

The Conference will treat the following topics:

1 - Water and energy - the dilemmas, costs and benefits.

2 - Experiences on the implementation of the WFD to non-EU countries.

3 - Water governance in transboundary scenarios: Strategic cooperation and twining among water authorities.

4 - IWRM - case studies, integration between Directives/Strategies.

5 - RBMP assessment, measures funding and 2015-2021 planning process preparation.

ENGLISH

The 9th General Assembly of the Mediterranean Network of Basin Organisations (MENBO) and the EURO-INBO Conference on the Implementation of the Water Framework Directive will take place 28-30 September 2011 in Porto (Portugal) at the invitation of the Portuguese North Water District Administration in Porto.

Prior to the celebration of the Assembly a MENBO Liaison Bureau Meeting will take place 27 September in the afternoon.

Préalablement à la célébration de l'Assamblée une réunion du Bureau de Liaison du REMOB aura lieu 27 Septembre.

La 9ª Asamblea General de la Red Mediterránea de Organismos de Cuenca (REMOC) y la Conferencia EURO-RIOC sobre la Implementación de la Directiva Marco del Agua tendrán lugar 28-30 Septiembre 2011 en Oporto (Portugal) por invitación del la Administración de la Región Hidrográfica del Norte de Oporto en Portugal.

Previamente a la celebración de la Asamblea tendrá lugar un Comité de Enlace de la REMOC el 27 Septiembre por la tarde.
