The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, FIPA-Tunisia is inviting you to the first international economic event of the post-revolution era in Tunisia. The Forum will be entirely dedicated to investment and will be held on June 16th and 17th at the Ramada Plaza Hotel.

Tunisia Investment Forum 2011, the new economic meeting of FIPA-Tunisia, will present the new prospects characterizing the business environment in Tunisia and the actions implemented to support the expansion of FDI over this transitional period, in the process of leading Tunisia towards more entrepreneurial freedom and increased investment opportunities.

Tunisia Investment Forum will show that of the values conveyed by the Tunisian revolution argue in favor of increased foreign investments in Tunisia: the key principles associated with this peaceful revolution conducted by an educated and knowledgeable youth, such as the establishment of good governance, transparency, equal opportunities in entrepreneurial freedom and independence of the justice system, are in line with the expectations of foreign operators interested in the Tunisian site. These new determinants of the attractiveness of the site will also invigorate national investors’ interest and will attract Tunisians of talent and achievement living outside the country.

Tunisia Investment Forum will bring together experts and investors who will present the new features of the business environment, free from the repressive grip that has long discouraged many operators to settle in Tunisia. The new landscape of the business environment is in the process of changing the way the Tunisian site is perceived by international investors and of strengthening the competitiveness of its productive apparatus, against a background characterized by greater transparency and liberalization of the investment potential.

The virtually complete resumption of activity of businesses operating in Tunisia, the wave of sympathy witnessed by the Tunisian revolution worldwide the continuity of economic fundamentals of the country as well as the renewed interest of all economic partners, are reasons to believe in the significantly strengthened attractiveness of the Tunisian investment site. The current period of democratic transition marked by powerful messages such as the removal of obstacles to freedom of expression and the recognition of many parties and associations, the dissolution of the former party-state and the establishment of an electoral process for a constituent assembly, confirm the determination of the Tunisian people to bolster the democratic principles, sole guarantees of greater transparency in all the economic activity. All these themes will be discussed during the thematic panel of the event.

Tunisia Investment Forum will also strive through two workshops to develop the contours of the new attractiveness of Tunisia, with a focus on foreign investment in inland areas and offshoring. The Forum will chart the way forward to better take into consideration the opportunities offered by the regions of western and southern Tunisia, the true reservoir of skilled human resources and growth, that will predictably raise investors’ increased interest. This session will also provide an opportunity to highlight the actions initiated in terms of investment in the infrastructure and their expected contribution in improving the comprehensive expansion of these regions.

Outsourcing services or offshoring, a sector that has experienced a strong growth for about ten years, will also benefit from a specific program, intended to pointing out the development that this field will undergo based on the country’s potential made up of a quality human capital, high level education programs focused on ICT, a strong competitiveness and a conducive ecosystem.

Tunisia Investment Forum will also be a privileged place for informal networking between Tunisian and foreign operators seeking new partnership and business opportunities. During these meetings FIPA-Tunisia will seek to optimize the visit of its foreign guests who will also have the opportunity to discover The International Trade Show for Industrial Partnership and Innovation "Tunis Med-Industry 2011" and the International Forum for Electronics "Fortronic" which will be held concomitantly with the Forum.
