 I think you need to consider Qualifications and Reputation. I am a Certified Management Consultant in the UK so would definitely think you should look for people with that qualification. The Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) which issues that qualification is linked through the Management Consultancy Association (MCA) to similar organisations throughout the world. To have one common standard wherever you operate should convey considerable benefits and the MCA is the only organisation to carry that reputation worldwide. Many consultants working for the Big 4 and other majors carry this qualification.
