Dear Mohamed,

April is a very busy month for GES. Springtime is here and so is Earth Day, which brings a lot of attention to the environment. GES participates in several electronics scrap collection events every year. On March 19th, we worked with the Girl Scouts Wilderness Road Council to collect electronics for proper disposal. These collection events are a great way to raise awareness within the community regarding the dangers of landfilling electronics (there are several hazardous components contained in things like televisions and monitors).
But March was a mere warm-up compared to what April holds for GES!

Cincinnati Reds' Players for the Planet

For the second year in a row, GES is partnering with Players for the Planet, a Cincinnati Reds initiative that works to inspire communities to take on environmental issues. Last year, this drive collected more than 200,000 pounds of electronics scrap.

GES participates in events such as Players for the Planet as a community outreach program. We feel that it is our responsibility to educate residents on the dangers of landfilling electronics.

Because electronics is a constantly evolving industry, it's difficult to know what to do with obsolete electronics once you've upscaled. Collection events are a great way to educate people and help the environment. That is why GES volunteers its employees, trucks, time and energy into something it believes in so strongly.

Last year was a huge event, and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year. To learn more about this collection event including times and locations, please follow the link:

GES is proud to announce its participation in a state-wide spring clean up event. Most of our friends are aware of our concern for the environment, but we wanted to do something a little extra. You know, reach out of our comfort zone, so to speak.
So GES has adopted a section of roadway near its warehouse for litter removal. Four times a year, GES employees will brave the weather-this year it was a celestial and sunny 70 degrees-in order to keep our Kentucky as beautiful as we can.
